There’s something special about the way a community comes together – and this year, Porthleven is introducing a brand-new way to celebrate exactly that.
New for 2026, The Moors Village Fair arrives as a joyful, community-led addition to the Porthleven Food Festival weekend. Set in the open green space of the village’s beloved Moors Field, The Village Fair invites families, friends, and visitors of all ages to slow down, connect, and enjoy an array of fun and games.
Free to access and open to all, the fair is rooted in tradition but filled with fresh energy. Expect classic lawn games scattered across the field, where laughter comes easily and friendly competition is all part of the fun. From the nostalgic charm of the egg and spoon race to the team spirit of tug of war, there’s something fun for everyone!
At the heart of it all is a community BBQ picnic, encouraging people to come together, share food, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. Alongside this, a selection of local business pop-ups will showcase the creativity and flavour of the area.
And while the fair is all about enjoyment, it also carries a deeper purpose. All proceeds will go towards the restoration of Porthleven Playground – which has fallen into disrepair – so a great local cause. You can also support the Go Fund Me for the Porthleven Playground by clicking here.
With “lots more surprises” promised, The Moors Village Fair is set to become more than just a new addition – it feels like the beginning of a much-loved tradition.
Make sure to wander up to the Moors Field during the festival – you might just find it becomes your favourite part of the weekend.
Saturday 10- 4pm
11am: Awen Mor Tai Chi demonstration to celebrate World Tai Chi and World Chi Gong day
12:15: HN Collective Street Dance demonstration from the youth group and workshop – all ages welcome to join in.

Porthleven Gig club rowing ergo challenge – come and have a go and find out more about how to be involved with the GIg club.
Porthleven Cricket Club bowling challenge – come and have a go and find out more about how to be involved with the Cricket club
Porthleven Football Club: The goal posts will be out – Come and have a go and find out how to get involved!
Lawn games (all day from 10-4pm): Fancy a go at giant Jenga, Quoits, Limbo, giant naughts and crosses? Come and play…All ages welcome.
Old skool sports day: (1:30 -4pm) Think sack races, three-legged races, egg and spoon and TUG of WAR!
Whether you’re the competitive type or just up for the giggle and reminiscing – be sure to stop by. All ages welcome and a small donation will be asked per entry – with all the proceeds to go to the Porthleven Play Park fundraiser (please bring cash/change).
The Busk Stop: Music provided by local buskers; from fiddles and electronic dub/ reggae to singers with guitars and acapella favourites.

Porthleven Environment Group (PEG): Have a go at the recycling game and find out how you can and learn more get involved in your local environment.
Porthleven Cricket Club bowling challenge – come and have a go and find out more about how to be involved with the Cricket club.
