BY CAR

New for 2026 there is a new parking system in place. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The festival carpark is located at Flambards where a Park & Ride service will be operating every 15 minutes (only takes 10 mins). It is free to park and the bus costs £3 each way. A family ticket is also available for £20 which includes return travel for two adults and up to three children.
  • Methleigh Farm carpark is not operational this year – so all visitors should use the festival carpark at Flambards.
  • Parking is not permitted in residential areas of the town for festival visitors/non-residents. Parking restrictions will be in effect with enforcement from Cornwall Council.

Disrespectful and obstructive parking threatens the future of this free to attend community event. Your cooperation helps to ensure that we can continue to operate Porthleven Food Festival.

Festival Parking: The festival carpark is located at Flambards, Clodgey Ln, Helston. The carpark is serviced by our regular park & ride service into the centre of town every 15 – 20 minutes and takes only ten minutes.

Accessible Parking: Limited accessible parking is located at Kittos Field Carpark. Charges may apply. Parking is available on a first come first served basis, so we recommend arriving early if you require accessible parking.

BY BUS

The festival is accessible via multiple bus routes. We also offer a festival Park & Ride service which costs £3 each way per person and a family ticket is also available for £20 which includes two adults and up to three children.

Stops are as follows:

  • Tesco’s Helston bus stop
  • Flambards – free to park (Festival Park & Ride)
  • Helston Seven Stars (Coinagehall St bus station)
  • Fairground Carpark opposite the boating lake (council charges now apply)
  • Top of Porthleven Fore Street (outside the Porthleven Barber Shop)

The Park & Ride will operate on a constant loop. Buses will become less frequently after 6pm.

*Please be aware that these bus times are approximate only, due to the nature of the local country lanes, the bus can get held up by traffic at peak times.

Regional Travel

For convenient public transport to the festival, we suggest using any bus to Helston and changing at either Tesco, Helston, Flambards (next to Sainsbury’s Helston) or Coinage Hall Street, Helston onto our Festival Park and Ride into Porthleven.

All Transport for Cornwall onward travel tickets will be valid for our Festival Park and Ride.

The current level of service to Helston can be viewed here: Bus timetables & maps – Transport for Cornwall

The #2 service (formerly U4) will operate as usual but will miss the Harbour Head bus stop in Porthleven, diverting from the stop on Wellington Road to Tolponds Road. For the closest stop to the festival we recommend you debark at Wellington Road.
