The best chefs in the South West will be heading to the harbourside for the 2020 Porthleven Food Festival.
The line up for the Chefs Theatre presented by St Austell Brewery, includes top South West chefs, promising a clear focus on the fantastic food of our very special foodie region.
In traditional style, Festival-patron Antony Worrall Thompson will open the event at 10am on Saturday by holding a cook-off competition against Porthleven’s own award-winning Jude Kereama from Kota and Kota Kai, who this year has organised the Chefs’ line-up.

Jude has taken over from his wife Jane, who organised the Chef’s Theatre for the past 11 years, but sadly passed away from cancer just after the Festival in 2019. He said: “It’s a great tribute to Jane’s memory to be able to bring all the top chefs from the South West together in this fantastic two-day line-up. It’s also a reminder of the roots of the Festival as one of our objectives is to ‘promote awareness of the extent and quality of locally produced food’. These chefs are second to none and truly showcase all that is fantastic about food in our region.”
Keen foodies can guarantee a priority seat in the Chefs’ Theatre presented by St Austell as well as a bridge pass for easy access around the harbour and entry to all three evening events by purchasing a Gourmet Ticket.
