Porthleven Food Festival is inviting you all to try a tiny taste of our Festival and have a bit of fun with us in these difficult and trying times.

Although you can’t be here with us this year, we hope you’ll join us online to celebrate and maybe even recreate some of the Festival in your own homes.

Ditch the PJ’s, don your best Festival gear, pitch your tents and join us this Saturday 18th April on our Facebook page where we’ll be sharing tips from our chefs, music playlists to enjoy and content from our Fringe tent.

Maybe you could craft your own flags, make your very own rainbow bridge or Love Food sign, or create your a Circus Tent, Literary Zone or Chef’s Theatre?

Get creative! We’d love to see what you come up with – tag your photos with #pfflockdown and we’ll share them throughout the day.

Highlights on the day include:

Opening time

At 10am we’ll be doing two special things with Porthleven Town Band. If you’re lucky enough to live in Porthleven, hop onto your doorstep and listen up as the band will be hanging out of their own front doors playing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Anyone who’s a musician is very welcome to join in and if kids want to make and wave a flag or a picture that would be amazing.

For those who don’t live here, we’ll be sharing a very special track pre-recorded by the band during lockdown in their own homes to mark the opening.

PFF Lockdown Lunch

At lunchtime we’d love it if you’d cook yourself a brilliant lockdown lunch. If the weather’s good, eat it in your garden – then send us your pics and we’ll share them. Don’t foget to tag them #pfflockdown

Our mate Kernow King is organising a ‘Stay at home and make a pasty day’ so that might be something to aim for – more details over on his Facebook page @kernowking

PFF Lockdown Disco

At 7pm we’re inviting you all to dance on your driveways, get down in your gardens or let loose in your living room to the sounds of Smoove and Turrell tracks – because isolation shouldn’t mean a ban on fun. *

We’ll be playing half an hour of tracks and would love to see your photos and videos of you dancing along in your Festival gear.

Tag your pics and videos with #pfflockdown

* Please be responsible and observe social distancing of at least 2m between yourselves and others, or dance it up inside your home if you’re self isolating. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR OWN HOME AND BE SURE TO OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES – THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT ONLY.
