Porthleven Food Festival is proud to present the return of the much-enjoyed Comedy Roast for 2026!
Join us at 3.30pm on Sunday April 26th, for an afternoon to remember. Guaranteed to deliver a belly full of laughs, you’ll be tucking into a delicious two-course roast dinner created by the talented team at Duchy Hospitality using the very best seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Well-seasoned stars of the comedy circuit Matt Price and Tom Glover will be performing, alongside comedic host (and Cornwall’s own rising star) Tom Rodgers.
And fear not the only thing getting roasted is the ingredients. So, you’re safe to bring the whole family! (although adults do be aware there may be some profanities!)
Tickets are £45pp and include a two-course Cornish roast dinner and comedy.

Matt Price
Cornwall-born but now London-based, Matt Price is a seasoned international comedian known for his exceptional storytelling and warm, engaging stage presence. Matt has performed at fifteen Edinburgh Festivals and toured extensively across the globe, including five tours of Australia with appearances at the Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals. He has headlined comedy clubs across South East Asia, Scandinavia, Turkey, Russia and the Middle East, and is a regular at all of the UK’s major comedy clubs. Matt has also provided tour support for Russell Kane and Larry Dean and worked as a television warm-up for Channel 4 and TLC. His honest, heartfelt comedy has earned critical acclaim, with The Scotsman calling him “Criminally Funny” and Artshub Australia praising him as “one of the best storytellers on the circuit.”
Tom Glover
Following in the footsteps of the West Country’s finest comedy talent, Tom has been growing in the dark depths of the south west where he is a regular MC and headliner for those rooms no-one else can afford to drive to.
Gigging to everyone from students, to the ladies of the WI. This plucky comedian has developed a knack of winning over any crowd, with his tales of life on the outside, and his observations on the minutiae of the everyday… And if that’s not your thing he also does funny accents and pulls silly faces.
More recently, Tom found a rather large audience via tiktok, and became what people are calling “the most unlikely tiktok phenomenon”, this new found online fame led to Tom embarking on his first national tour in 2025. A live stand up show from the man who’s online reels have reached millions of people worldwide. Featuring hilarious tales of marriage, parenting and growing up in the 90s. If you’re at an age where coming to a show is an admin nightmare of babysitters, bedtimes and designated drivers then his comedy is probably for you!
Tom Rodgers
One of the rising stars of the UK comedy circuit, Cornwall’s own Tom Rodgers brings high-energy stand-up packed with razor-sharp wit, fresh observations and hilarious tales of Cornish life and living with ADHD. After reaching the finals of several prestigious comedy competitions and performing across the UK, Tom turned professional in 2023 and has quickly become a standout act on any line-up. A familiar face at comedy nights and festivals across Cornwall and beyond, Tom has opened or MC’d for major names including Katherine Ryan, Frankie Boyle, Sarah Pascoe, Al Murray and Joel Dommett. His powerful stage presence and brilliant storytelling make him a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
