Megan Chapman AKA MCMC Spoken is a Cornish-grown poet and performance artist. Currently London’s Word4Word slam winner and last year’s winner of Cornwall Contemporary Poetry Festival’s Poetry Slam, she has opened up festival stages including Glastonbury and Womad.

With a background in Youth and Community work, Meg is known for regular performances at Cornish gigs and literary events and delivers workshops across a range of settings, empowering individuals to find their voice and bring it forth onto the stage. Her recent gigs include a set at Proud Eden, with upcoming tour dates continuing with Waterstones in Truro. She was featured in ‘A Space to Write’ published in 2015, a book exploring the writing spaces of Cornwall’s best-loved wordsmiths. She writes about social injustices and class, capturing the voices of those who don’t have one.
