Getting Here

It’s a good idea to plan your journey before you leave and do bear in mind that it gets very very busy on the roads between our peak traffic times of 11am – 3pm on Saturday.

Here’s a guide to the main ways to get here.

By car

The main car park on Friday will be at Porthleven Football Club TR13 9LQ and roads are open as usual.

The main car park on Saturday will be the Methleigh Farm Park & Ride, TR13 9LB.

Please follow signs to reach the Festival car park and do not attempt to approach the festival along the BB3304 (from Helston) as road closures will be in place and Porthleven will be closed to non-residents from 7am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The cost is £5 per car and includes unlimited use of the shuttle bus in to the festival. The buswill drop you off at the entrance to the Moors Field, or it’s about a 10-minute downhill walk. The bus will run on Saturday and Sunday 9am – 7pm.

The Festival organisers and the police request that you do not park on the roads leading into Porthleven as this causes major traffic problems. Parking restrictions and enforcement will be in operation over the Festival weekend.

There are a limited number of disabled spaces at the heart of the site– please ask a steward if you need to use these.

Could you consider liftsharing? We’ve teamed up with The Pasty Connectionto offer an easy way to offer or grab a lift.

If you can leave the car at home for Food Festival it’s a good idea. Why not consider one of these alternative ways to reach us:

On foot

Porthleven is situated on the beautiful South West Coast path and you can walk in from many local places, taking in the amazing coastal views. The walk from Helston trough Penrose is a beautiful one and takes about 40 minutes.

Of course, if you’re staying on our Festival campsite you’ll be just minutes walk from the action every day.

By bike

For the first time this year we’ll have a dedicated cycle park in the centre of our festival site.  You’ll find it on the Football Ground close to the entry to our Moors Field. Post code: TR13 9LQ.

By bus
