We always bring plenty of entertainment for the young and the young at heart and this year is no exception. The Family Zone on the Moors Field will include arts and crafts and circus workshops as well as a brand new venue – the Ann’s Pasty Lounge.

Circus skills will be provided by Cirque Du Ciel and arts and crafts workshops by Sticky Fingers, there’ll be family friendly music from buskers throughout the weekend as well as a live performance from amazing percussion and dance group Dakadoum drumming up a rhythmical storm on Saturday afternoon.

From breakfast pasties and Bloody Marys served at the start of the day, to live music and afternoon DJ sets throughout the early evening, there’s plenty to enjoy in the Ann’s Pasty Lounge.

On Friday there’s the chance to meet a mermaid and create a gratitude shell with our friends at the Sea Sanctuary who are our charity partner for this year’s theme of Food For Thought around mental health and blue spaces. There’s also Compassion and Confidence workshops and Wellbeing and Mindfulness workshops all geared up to families. In the afternoon there’s the announcement of the pasty flavour competition winners – Ann’s have been working with the children at Porthleven School to create the nicest and the yuckiest pasty flavours they can think of! From 4-6pm there’s music from HedLuv and PassMan – Cornwall’s premier CASIO keyboard wielding, golden codpiece wearing rap duo.

On Saturday there’s a pasty crimping workshop with Ann herself and then afternoon music from The Oggymen, Ben Bowden and the All Day Breakfast Band.

Sunday brings a breakfast cocktail masterclass, a Q&A with Ann and live DJ sets featuring funky reggae with 5L1NK7, funky soul and disco with General Vibez and a Balearic Sunday sundowner set to finish.

Fergus Muller from Ann’s Pasty’s said: “This year’s food festival sees a return to an accessible community event and we are really proud to be supporting it.  Myself and mum – Ann – will be running different activities in both The Pasty Lounge and our shop in the village for families all weekend.  The bands line-up in our tent has something for everyone and the bar will be serving until 6pm every evening.”
