Porthleven Food Festival will take place from 21st to 23rd April 2017.

On Friday night, and two full days on Saturday and Sunday, there’ll be cooking demos from top national chefs as well as hundreds of food stalls around the harbour and beyond. 2017 will also see the return of the Festival Fringe focusing on kids’ activities, the Literature Festival tent, art and Bake-Off.

Friday and Saturday night events will feature live bands and there’ll be lots of music around the harbour during the daytime too. The committee are pleased to announce that, following feedback from visitors, the Lime Kiln stage will be back for 2017. Full line-ups will be announced later this month.

The 2017 Festival theme will be ‘Under the Sea’ which will bring sea creatures galore to the harbour to join in the celebrations. Watch out for announcements about competitions and activities.

Chairman David Turnbull said: “Porthleven and the sea are intrinsically linked by the harbour and this theme is a great way to celebrate the place where we live. Last year we had a record number of people getting involved in decorating the town, including local retailers who really went for it in our shop window competition. Everyone is encouraged to dress up and join us and there will be lots of themed activities and things to see and do.”

The Festival is largely FREE to attend but tickets for the main events on Friday and Saturday night will go on sale soon.

Sunday will see the return of the Porthleven Bake-Off and Sunday Chef’s theatre focusing on chocolateurs and artisan cooking. Sunday bands are free.
